Ms. Barbara Ann Johnson
March 8, 1946 – November 5, 2024
Barbara was born in Mobile, AL and was the third child to the late Viola Longmire Johnson and Benjamin Johnson. As a small child, the family moved to Enterprise, AL and she was educated through the public school system. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Benjamin Johnson and sister, Mary Johnson.
She continued her education at Tuskegee Institute, as well as the University of Michigan, obtaining degrees from both schools. She pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at the University of Michigan.
Barbara is survived by her little sisters Michele Young, Jessica Young and special sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue NW Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor Robert Rice officiating.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Huntsville Alumnae Chapter will have the Omega Omega service 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, November 12, 2024 at the Royal Chapel of Memories.
Public viewing will be 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 and 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
