Graveside funeral service for Barbara Ann DeBerry, affectionately known as Gran Ann, age 78, of Fayetteville, will be conducted at 2 PM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Manchester, TN. Bro. Steve Hale will officiate.
Ann was born on January 18, 1940 in Coffee County, TN to the late Leon and Verda Ruth Sartain Bryan. She earned her Bachelors degree from Athens State and worked as an Executive Secretary in the aerospace industry. Mrs. DeBerry liked to read, loved babies, and spending time with her family. She passed away on March 9, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care, surrounded by her loving family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” M. DeBerry; daughters, Holly (Bret) Thompson of Athens, AL and Tracy DeBerry of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Tessa (Caleb) Hardiman, Robby (fiance, Molly Schaefer) Thompson, Caroline Thompson and Daniel DeBerry Lang; great-grandchildren, Truett Hardiman, Peyton Hardiman and Reese Hardiman; siblings, Violet McMahan, Carole McMahan, Sandra Simmons, Sylvia Walker, Wayne (Pat) Bryan, Sharon (Mervin) Elam; and sister-in-law, Sarah Bryan. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her siblings, Bob Bryan, Dorothy Winton, Eddie Bryan, and Charlotte Hartman; and brother-in-law, Grant McMahan.
A time of fellowship will be held from 9 AM until 10:30 AM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Plainview Church of Christ, 14500 Hwy. 231-431 N., Hazel Green, AL 35750.
