Barbara Ann Carroll Jump Mrs. Barbara Ann Carroll Jump, 74, a resident of the Theta Community, died Friday, January 7, 2022 at her residence.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Jump will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at North View Church of Christ with Jeremy Butt and Randy Kersey officiating. Burial follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

 

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc. 410 Allied Drive Nashville, Tennessee 37211.

 

Born on September 21, 1947 in Lewis County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Walker Carroll and the late Ava Louise Vick Carroll. On January 22, 1966 she married Hobert Wendell Jump. Mrs. Jump was a caregiver and enjoyed making wreaths and traveling. She was a member of North View Church of Christ where she was involved in the church dinners.

 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Ryan Jump of the Theta Community; brother, Chester (Linda) Carroll of Wyandotte, Michigan; nephews, Jimmy (Roxanne) Carroll and Jerry (Carol) Carroll; several great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Larry Jennings; and granddog, Judah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Ruth Jennings; nephew, Fred “Bo” Stanfill; niece, Sherry Stanfill; sister-in-law, Sandra Carroll; and nephew, Jeffrey Carroll.

 

Pallbearers will be Quintin Cooper, Jim Carroll, Mike Tatum, William “Buddy” Smith, Tim Neal, Larry Jennings, Charlie Spires, and Bobby Fox.

 

The family would like to extend special thanks to Avalon Hospice, her cousin, Shirley Fox, and friends, Lea Anderson, Sue Bassham and Kay Neal for their love and care during her illness.
