Barbara Ann Bolton, 80, died Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, AL. She was born in Alabama to Bernard and Jewel Moore Nunley. Barbara worked as a supervisor in garment manufacturing and attended Maud Church of Christ and Red Bay Church of Christ.
Services will be Wednesday, August 9, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. David Kelley and Bro. Cory Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two daughters – Edwina Harris and Jacqueline Kennedy (Ed Carroll); three grandchildren – Madonna Pruitt (Cory), Madyson Bolton and Justin Roberts; five great-grandchildren – Ayden Pruitt, Cohen Pruitt, Cullen Pruitt, Kahlynn Bolton and Shep Roberts; one sister – Rebecca Weatherford (Johnnie); six brothers – Marvin (Judy), Vernon, Marcus (Loretta), Baxter (Donna), Mark (Connie) and Kenny (Patricia) and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bolton; son, Jeff; parents; son-in-law, Chuck; brother, Orville Nunley and an infant sister.
Pallbearers will be John Weatherford, Ed Carroll, Donnis Elrod, Cory Pruitt, Ayden Pruitt and Cohen Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnnie Weatherford, Cullen Pruitt and Kahlynn Bolton.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
