Barbara Ann Atchley, age 74, of Lacey’s Spring, AL passed on February 9, 2024. Barbara was born February 15, 1949 to Mary Margaret Brown and Luther Delmus Brown. Barbara was always known as the life of the party and always made everyone feel like they belonged. She enjoyed telling old tales, laughing, talking on the phone, sitting at the pond and spending time with her family and friends. She served the Lord for 58 years after receiving the Holy Ghost at age 16.
She is survived by her husband Bobby Atchley; daughter Anita Ledbetter (Mike Ledbetter); granddaughters, Michelle Ledbetter and Ashley Jones (Jamie Jones) and great grandson, Boyd Jones; sister, Theresa Hoot; and brothers, Jack Brown and Danny Brown (Gloria Brown).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and LD Brown; granddaughter, Keri Allison Ledbetter; and sister, Betty Carey.
Services for Barbara will include a visitation with family and friends on Tuesday, February 13, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brindlee Mountain Chapel at Morgan City. Funeral service will be at Brindlee Mountain Chapel on Wednesday, February 14, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Pine Grove Holiness Church Cemetery. Officiating services will be Chris West and Jonathan Brown. Pallbearers escorting Barbara to her final resting place in Pine Grove Holiness Church Cemetery will be: Danny West, Ricky Atchley, Terry Atchley, Shawn Brown, Heath Brown and Aulden Adams.
