NASHVILLE-An update in the Wayne Mills fatal shooting,  the owner of Pit and Barrel, Chris Ferrell, turned himself into police

Friday in this case.

Jerald “Wayne” Mills of the Wayne Mills Band was shot at the bar located on  Second Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee during the early morning hours of November 23.  He died later that day.

Chris Ferrell has been charged with second degree murder for the shooting of Mills.  Ferrell told police the shooting was in self-defense.  According to the initial report Ferrell and Mills were in an argument because Mills was smoking in a non-smoking part of the bar.

Ferrell is in jailed on a $300,000 bond.
