He was an avid fisherman. He loved to fish. He had a special fishing buddy ready to greet him when he arrived in Heaven, his grandson, Joshua, with a great big smile. He was an electrician by trade. He taught his son and grandsons that trade knowledge, along with a great work ethic.

Survivors include his wife; son, Timmy (Constance) Calvert; daughter, Robin Calvert; brother, Rev. Joe (Edith) Calvert; grandchildren, Jessicca (Jay) Carter, Luke (Sarah) Jacobs, Jerricca (Eddie) Pratt, Misty (Zac) Freeman, Cassie (Victor) Grant; 27 great- grandchildren plus one on the way; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Our daily walk is our witness to this world. Avery lived it well. Today he would say “Make sure Jesus lives in your heart every day.”
