Ava Nell CheathamAva Nell Cheatham was born in Luling, Texas on June 5, 1927 and went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2020 at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband,
David “Bud” Cheatham after celebrating 50 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Appie DeLong, brothers, Ferrell and Jack DeLong, sister, Marilyn Evans and her grandson Landon “Buddy” Cheatham. Survivors include her loving daughter and son, Sandi Harris and Scott Cheatham and her sister, Jan Cobb. Her surviving grandchildren include Lisette Clemons, David Weers and Cristal Nash. Her great-grandchildren include Darryl Anderson, Lacey Clemons, Ty Graham, Kody Weers, Aric and Daniel Nash, Victoria Smith and Elizabeth Newcomb. Her great-great grandson
is Connor Anderson.

Ava graduated from Burbank High School in San Antonio where she lived her life and retired from San Antonio Independent School District where she served as Insurance and Retirement Clerk for many years. Ava never met a stranger and those strangers often became friends. She loved helping others.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 28 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 S. E. Military Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78214; 15 people are limited this day. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 ay 11:30 a.m. A private interment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
