Ava Lee Lancaster died of natural causes on April 21, 2015, in Santa Ana, California. She was 92-years-old.
Ava was born March 1, 1923, to the late Henry and Ollie Alexander of Lexington, Alabama. She was the last living child of eight children.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, James, and her daughter, Brenda Posey (wife of Mr. Chip Posey). Until her eyesight failed she enjoyed reading and caring for her grandchildren whenever the need arose.
Ava is survived by two sons, Dr. J. Robert Lancaster and wife, Cornelia, of Huntsville, Alabama, and Mr. Craig Lancaster, and wife, Hazel, of Tustin, California; grandchildren, Ryan Lancaster, Russ Lancaster, and wife, Genna, Will Lancaster, Robert Lancaster, Jonathan Lancaster and wife, Shelly, Janet Posey, Carrie Posey, and Michael Posey and wife, Sasha; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Lancaster, Collier Lancaster, and Harper Posey.
