Mrs. Autress Phillips, 92, of Dora, Alabama passed away April 25.
Autress is preceded in death by her parents, James and Thula Hagood; husband, Kenneth Merkel, as well as the majority of her siblings.
Left to cherish Autress’ memory include her husband, Melvin Phillips; children, Ronald Merkel (Carla) and Melvirene Henry (Roger); grandchildren, Todd Merkel (Crystal), Alyssa Merkel, Mandy Hayes (Scott), and Jason Tolbert (Cassie); great-grandchildren, Ava, Amber, Cole, Parker, and Gaines; brother, Otha Hagood, as well as a host of extended friends and family.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Phillips will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 2:00pm at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Johnson officiating. Mrs. Phillips’ family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00.
Burial will follow services at McCormack Cemetery in Dora, Alabama.
