ROGERSVILLE-A single vehicle accident occurred on Saturday, May 30. Here is what Alabama State Troopers have released concerning the accident:
“A single-vehicle crash at 5:40 p.m. today, May 30, claimed the life of a Rogersville man. Stanley Eugene Smith, 58, was killed when the 1978 Jeep CJ7 he was driving left the roadway, traveled up an embankment, and overturned. Smith, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 575, three miles west of Rogersville. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
