Austin Franklin Phillips, age 82, of Guntersville, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Barfield Health Care. Mr. Phillips grew up in Valdosta, GA and served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He was a member of the Christian Center and loved to read Louis L’Amour books.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Phillips; son, Austin Phillips, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Wilson (James Wilson); step-son, William Stewart (Cynthia Tallman); step-daughter, Sherry Baker (Tom Baker); 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mildred Phillips; brother, Hal Phillips; sister, Betty Phillips
