Audrey Spearman, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home in Rainbow City, Alabama on June 24, 2021 after a short illness. She was born on October 29, 1925, the oldest of eleven children to Reuel and Eunice Walker in Roopville, Georgia where she grew up. Audrey’s highest achievement and perhaps her greatest joy was her role as mother to her three children and grandmother to her seven grandchildren and eight great-grand children. She was an extremely talented seamstress who enjoyed making beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to quilt, crochet, and embroider, making creative handmade gifts for family and friends. Her favorite pastime was watching Auburn football and an occasional Georgia game. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years, Jim Spearman; her son, Kenneth Spearman; brothers, Dumah Walker, Reuben Walker, Herman Walker, and Joseph Walker. Audrey is survived by her daughters, Elaine Tomasini and Linda Lovejoy; daughter-in-law Sara Spearman; grandsons Todd Spearman and Marc (Leslie)Tomasini; granddaughters, Leigh Harris, Ashley (Ryan)Hart, Tiffany (William) Gieler, Jennifer (Kevin) Keeton and Lauren Tomasini; brothers, Edward (Sylvia) Walker, Dan (Donna) Walker; sisters, Helen (Don) Price, Sandra Worley, Judy (Willard) Powers, eight wonderful great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews. A private family service is planned at Collier-Butler Funeral Home on June 26, 2021 at 11 am. Rev. Mike Holloway will be officiating the service and burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. A special thanks to all the staff at Comfort Care Hospice for their wonderful care and support, and to Jackie Hughes for her heartfelt devotion and loving care.
