The family of Audrey Ruth Watkins is saddened to announce her passing on Tuesday July 30, 2024. During her last moments she was surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Watkins was born on April 6, 1955, in Florence, Alabama. She was a graduate of Wilson High School.  After High school she married the love of her life, “Ricky Do Hickey”, they enjoyed building a beautiful foundation together for 52 years. From this union they had two children, April and Tracy. During their journey she was a very hard worker who eventually retired from Tee Jays.

There are many things to remember about Audrey, but the main things are her being a very hard working, dedicated mother and being the absolute best Molly in the world. Every holiday you could always expect one heck of a feast and she could always expect picking clothes pins off the bottom of her shirts “thanks to Ty” and another thing like Hadlee running and hiding behind her because she always knew Molly would protect her from getting into any trouble or Weston always hearing that broom banging on the ceiling when supper was ready. And most of all, how well she supported her kids April and Tracy during any curve balls that were thrown their way.

Audrey is survived by her loving husband Ricky Watkins, two children April and Tracy, four grandchildren Ty and Alexis, Hadlee, Weston, and Jaydee, and her four great grandchildren Tyson, Finn, Nelly, and Charlie, she is also survived by her many siblings Buford, Cathy, Cookie, Bea, Johnny, and Jr.

Audrey was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dorothy and Willie Clanton and many other loved ones.

Her visitation will be held at Greenview Funeral Home on Thursday August 1, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm. The funeral will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 2pm. in the funeral home chapel with Craig Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
