FLORENCE – When the real estate marketplace for high-tech companies heats up, Colbert and Lauderdale counties will have plenty of space ready for building. It has to do with connectivity, and yesterday’s AT&T announcement make it clear that this area is ready.

The Shoals Economic Development Authority, The Shoals Chamber of Commerce and area leaders got together to witness the signing of the certification documents. AT&T Alabama President Fred McCallum and S.E.D.A. Executive Director, Forrest Wright signed the papers that certify the parks now meet infrastructure and preparation requirements. The parks that are noted, in addition to Florence/Lauderdale Industrial Park, are the Shoals Research Airpark in Muscle Shoals and Rogersville Business Park.
