ATHENS-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person three other people were injured and taken to hospital including a 5-year-old child:
“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:35 p.m. Thursday, June 27, has claimed the life of an Athens woman.
Isenalande Senat, 29, was critically injured when the 2012 Dodge Avenger that she was a passenger in, was struck by a 2008 Dodge Ram driven by Kristie N. Lankster, 38, of Athens.
Senat was not using a seat belt at the time of crash, was injured and transported to Athens Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Dodge Avenger, Wilder Oris, 28, and another passenger in the Avenger, Weedenley R. Gabriel, 29, both of Athens, were injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Oris was not using a seat belt at the time of crash. A 5-year-old, who was also a passenger in the Dodge Avenger, was unrestrained, injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Malone Road near Lucas Ferry Road, approximately five miles south of Athens, in Limestone County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
