Athens Teen Dies From Injuries Received In Single-Vehicle Accident

LIMESTONE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agencey reports a single-vehicle accident has occured in Limestone County that has taken the life of a 17-year-old from Athens:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:51 p.m. Sunday, November 9, has claimed the life of a 17-year-old from Athens.

The 17-year-old was fatally injured when the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup the teen was driving left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The teen was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 99 near Patterson Hill Road, approximately two miles southwest of Mt. Rozell, in Limestone County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
