ATHENS – A local North Alabama Rotary Club has made a donation to a Kentucky Rotary Club for tornado relief.
ATHENS – A local North Alabama Rotary Club has made a donation to a Kentucky Rotary Club for tornado relief.The Athens Rotary Club has mailed a check to the Mayfield (Kentucky) Rotary Club for $5,400. The club is donating $1,000 and several Rotarians have pledged the remaining $4,400.
Athens Rotary Club President Tere Richardson explains why the club helped out their neighbors.
“The devastation is horrific in Mayfield, Kentucky, and will take years to rebuild,” Richardson said. “Athens Rotary Club hopes that our donations, together with many others, will help begin that process.”
