ATHENS-The Athens Police Department has issued a BOLO on a ,man who has escaped custody after a traffic stop. Anyone with information should call 256.233.8700:
“Officers are currently looking for Jose Alfredo Oscar Cruz.
He is a 39 year old Hispanic male last seen wearing blue jeans and a light blue shirt. He fled from a traffic stop after having been handcuffed for Possession of Controlled Substances.
Cruz was spotted behind the old Athens Country Club property on US 31 South. Cruz has moved the handcuffs to the front of his body and kept them concealed under his shirt.
