ATHENS-The Athens Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspected wanted in a robbery case:
“On Tuesday night, December 21 at approximately 8:50 the police department received a call of a robbery at GameStop on US 72.
When officers arrived they were told a black male wearing a red sweatshirt with a hood, blue and white pants with a red belt had robbed the store.
The man was armed with a small revolver. The clerk told officers the man told her to move then pushed her and took the cash drawer and several Nintendo switch game cases then ran from the store. No one was injured in the robbery.
