-On Thursday, August 23 Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a press release concerning the arrest of a suspect on charges of indecent exposure and harassment:
“On August 21, 2018 a 40-year-old female reported to the police department that a male acquaintance had hugged her because she was upset.
While hugging her he had touched her breast and after the hug he pulled his pants down and exposed his penis to her.
When offices talked to the male he denied the allegations. The incident took place at 1802 US HWY 72.
Yesterday the victim obtained warrants for Hollis Jolly for indecent exposure and harassment. Both warrants were served last night. Jolly was booked at the police department and bonded out on a $1500.00 bond.”
