ATHENS-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a death from a two-vehicle traffic accident that occurred on April 13:
“A two-vehicle crash at approximately 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, has claimed the life of an Athens man.
Colewyn N. Hawkins, 22, was critically injured when the 2006 Honda CMX250 motorcycle that he was operating crossed the center line and struck a 2014 Ford F150, driven by Debra Kaye Stone, 61, of Athens. Hawkins was transported to an area hospital, where on Friday, April 15, he succumbed to his injuries.
The crash occurred on East Limestone Road near U.S. 72, approximately three miles east of Athens, in Limestone County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
