Athens Man Charged In Death Of His Mother

 ATHENS-Sean Kevin Sutton, 47 was charged in the death of his mother according to Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson.  Sutton was  charged on Thursday, November 22 with murder.

On Wednesday, November 21 police answered a call to 1401 North Malon Street at around 2PM where they found the resident, Emma Sutton, 79 dead..  Police took her son in to custody after he was found several blocks from the scene.

According to the Athens Police Sutton has been  charged with one count of murder and was taken to Limestone County Jail to await bail.
