Arvin Perry Legg, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was a longtime member of Mastin Lake Road Church of Christ, where he was an elder for over 40 years. He loved God above all and his family second. He was a humble man, never concerned about himself, but always concerned about others, whether their souls or their wellbeing. “Be careful” was a phrase heard very often. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was retired from Redstone Arsenal where he was a Management Analyst. He loved to tinker with things and could fix almost anything.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. Legg, to whom he was married for over 67 years. Survivors include his children, Donna Hunt (Jimmy), Sandra Moore (Gary), and Wesley Legg (Tina); grandchildren, Korie Pressnell (Chad), Aaron Hunt (Jessica), Andrew Hunt, Bonny Moore, Seth Moore, Lauren Legg, and Olivia Legg; and great-grandchildren, Emmett Pressnell, Bailey Pressnell, Kaylee Hunt, and Emma Hunt.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Scotty Sparks and Brandon Pressnell officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
