Graveside Services for Mr. Arthur Ray Webb, age 83 of Eufaula, will be Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Millerville Community Cemetery with Pastor Joseph McCreight officiating. There will be no public visitation prior to services.
Mr. Webb passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Barbour Medical Center in Eufaula. He was born in Hackleburg, Al, was a graduate of Hackleburg High School, and attended trade school in Birmingham. He worked briefly for Jones-McCloud, but worked for Alabama Power as an appliance repairman. He specialized in Air Conditioning repair, but worked on any small and large appliances. He worked for Alabama Power for over 30 years and retired at the age of 55. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling with his family. Mr. Webb was an avid outdoorsman, and had built four houses for his family in his lifetime. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Mr. Webb is survived by his wife of 56 years, Melba Jo Hickman Webb; his son, Ray Webb (Susan), both of Eufaula; three grandchildren: Joshua Webb (Christan), Steven Webb (Jessica), and Rachel Webb; 7 great-grandchildren: Westin Staples, Amber Webb, Reid Webb, Anniston Webb, Maddie Webb, Jeremiah Webb, and Meredith Webb; his aunt, Geraldine Carden of Russelville; two sister in laws: Jean Webb of Pell City and Peggy Smith of Ashland, plus a host of cousins and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Grady and Verbon Ledbetter Webb, and one brother, Bill Webb.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
