Arthur Durlon “Art” Denney, 83 of Arab Alabama, died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice of Marshall County.
Mr. Denney was born on June 7, 1933 in Morgan County Alabama, to Arthur Denney and Mary Ross Denney. He served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as an electrician. His wife, Dovie Mae Collins Denney preceded him in death on June 10, 2009.
He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
Mr. Denney is survived by his girlfriend: Juanita Hoccutt, four sons and daughters-in-law: Ronnie James and Denise Johnson, Terry Denney and Linda Kilgo, Keith Denney and Johnny Denney; three daughters and sons in law: Connie Dorn, Darlene and Bob Mckenzie, Tina and Bill Likens; a brother and sister-in-law: Jimmy and Linda Denney; six sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara and J.C. Cornelius, Marty and Luke Lindsey, Carolyn and Rick Leigeber, Elizabeth Duncan, Brenda and Richard Rush, Cheryl and Baldwin East; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Dovie Mae Denney; his parents: Arthur and Mary Denney two brothers: Gene Denney and Gary Denney.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 7, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers Terry Hudson and Eric Thomas officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 6, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
