FLORENCE-The Kennedy-Douglass Art Center & Volunteers would like to invite all High School Art Teachers and their students to the ART ADVENTURE SERIES for April! Typewriter art dates back to the invention of the first manual typewriter and is different from computer generated art. It is so fascinating that one may be unable to determine that a piece of art was created by a typewriter. This program will explore the history of typewriter art; the variety of styles and processes used to create a piece using a typewriter; as well as, review several typewriter artists and their works.

Following, Barb Hendricks will lead a hands-on activity – Work Art & Concrete Writing. Fun activities with letters, words, and images!
This program is free and aimed toward Teens and Adults. This progam will be held on Sunday, April 21 beginning at 2PM at the Florence Art and Museums located at 217 East Tuscaloosa Street in Florence
