DECATUR-After several complaints of drugs being sold from an apartment on Beech Street in Decatur, on Friday, October 10th the Decatur Police arrested three people. Here is how the Decatur Police describe events leading up to the arrests:
“During the month of October 2014, Investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit received complaints of Marijuana being sold from 1626 Beech Street SE apartment # 4. Investigators began an investigation and were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence.
On October 10, 2014, Investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Special Operations Division executed the narcotics search warrant at 1626 Beech Street SE apartment #4. When investigators made entry into the residence, they made contact with Joseph Stevenson, Anthony Moon, Alishsia Stroud and two small children.
Investigators began searching the residence and located a quantity of Marijuana.
Investigator Kirk Arrington arrested and charged Stevenson with Possession of Marijuana in the 1st Degree.
Anthony Moon and Alishsia Stroud were both charged with Loitering. Stroud also had two warrants for her arrest through the Decatur Police Department for Failure to Appear and Failure to Pay.
Stevenson, Moon and Stroud were transported to the Decatur City Jail and were processed in.
Stevenson will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500.00 bond.”
