Arrest Made In Fraudulent Credit Card Use

DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department made an arrest on the Fraudulent Use Of A  Credit Card that was reported stolen on July 29, 2014.  Here is how the Decatur Police describe the events leading up to the arrest of one person:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On July 29th of 2014, Hodges of ATEC Pest Control in Huntsville reported to the Decatur Police Department that one of the company’s credit cards was use to make fraudulent purchases at several locations in Decatur. During the investigation, Mary Katherina Woodard was developed as a suspect.
As a result of the investigation, on January 6th of 2015, two warrants were obtained for the arrest of Mary Katherina Woodard for Illegal Possession of or Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card or Debit Card and for Second Degree Theft. On January 11th of 2015, Officer Shawn Holmes located Woodard and arrested her.
Woodard was transported to the Decatur City Jail where she was processed and then transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
Illegal Possession of or Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card or Debit Card is a Class C Felony.
The theft of property which exceeds five hundred dollars $500 but does not exceed $2,500 constitutes Theft of Property in the Second Degree. Theft of Property in the Second Degree is a Class C Felony.”
