SHEFFIELD-There has been an arrest in the rape of a 55-year-old Sheffield woman who was sexually assaulted in October at Colbert 
Heights Apartments . The suspect Travares Terrel Garner, 32 of Huntsville, has been living between Huntsville and the Shoals was arrested on Wednesday night and is currently being held in the Colbert County Jail on charges of rape.
The suspect was brought in to be questioned regarding the charges on Wednesday due in part to the collection of forensic evidence from the scene by the Sheffield Police Department. Detectives say Garner claimed he was looking for someone, and when the victim opened the door to talk to him, he forced his way inside and sexually assaulted her.
Garner was arrested Wednesday night after questioning is being Held in Colbert County Detention Center.
