HUNTSVILLEโ On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, deputies with the Madison County Sheriffโs Office responded to a residence in Hazel Green following a report of a sexual assault in progress involving a juvenile victim.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as Randy Almanzar, 25, approached the residence under the pretense of selling pest control services. After requesting to use the restroom, he was permitted entry into the home by the juvenile. While inside, Almanzar sexually assaulted the victim before leaving the residence.

Deputies and detectives acted quickly to identify and locate Almanzar. He was taken into custody and interviewed by Sheriffโs detectives. Following the interview, Almanzar was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree. He was transported to the Madison County Jail without incident.
โThis was a calculated and despicable act,โ said Sheriff Kevin Turner. โLet me be clear, anyone who preys on a child will be met with the full force of this Office. Iโm proud of the swift work by our deputies and detectives, and I want the public to know: we will not hesitate, we will not slow down, and we will never tolerate this kind of evil in Madison County.โ
