Arnold “Glenn” Johnson age 78 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was born November 26, 1936 in Limestone County, AL to Robert Arnold Johnson and Mamie Graul Johnson.
Services will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral home with Jerry Smith, Tim Anderson and Larry Hicks officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Johnson was retired from Monsanto after 40 years of service. He was a member of West Highland Baptist Church, and made many contributions to the community and charities.
Survived by his wife, Phyllis Carroll Johnson of Athens; two sons, Anthony Keith Johnson and Timothy Glenn Johnson (wife, Jane Craig Johnson) both of Athens; one daughter, Teresa Johnson Rogers and husband, Keith of Madison, AL; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 step-grandson and 2 step- great-granddaughters; two sisters, Mary Barnes of Prospect, TN and Carolyn Chittam and husband, Bobby of Athens.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
