Arlis Mock, 94, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born October 29, 1929 to the late George Mock and the late Lula McAnally Mock in Tishomingo. He was a member of Fulton Church of Christ and a veteran of the Korean War while serving in the US Army. He enjoyed watching sports, westerns, NASCAR and loved working outdoors, and growing tomatoes, and cucumbers. He married the love of his life, Willard Faye Davis Mock on December 23, 1953 and just celebrated their 70th year of marriage.
Services will be at 1pm on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home with Minister Russ Crosswhite, and Dale Lesley officiating. Burial will be in Cotton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am – 1pm on Friday, December 29 at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Willard Faye Mock of Fulton; nephew, Dwight South; nieces, Judy Vaughn, and Jane Nord; nephews, Wayne Davis, and Paul Davis; nieces, Patricia Davis Green, Carolyn Davis McClellan, Pam Davis Horton and husband, Michael, and Patti Davis Bennett; and extended family, Dale and Peggy Lesley.
In addition to his parents, Arlis is preceded in death by his brother, Connie Mock; sisters, Bessie Burleson, and Ravail South; and nephew, Donald Ray South.
Pallbearers will be Michael Horton, Davis Horton, Tab Bennett, Dale Lesley, Russ Gordon, Richie Green, Scott Green, and Doug Smith.
The family wants to thank Dr. Kelly, Dr. Burns, and the staff at the Fulton Family Medical Clinic along with the staff of the North Mississippi Medical Center Home Health for their care.
