Arla Marie Greene, age 90, of Hampshire, TN passed away on November 13, 2017.
Arla was born July 4, 1927 in Sioux City Iowa to the late Anton and Ruth Swanson. She was happily married to the late Harold Greene for over 50 years, before his passing in 1999. Arla was a very diligent person; she enjoyed teaching the importance of family and being together. She was known for her pies and happily passed on recipes to members of her family. She loved playing cards, especially Skipbo and had fun making up her own rules. She was a member of the Hohenwald Senior Citizens Group. Arla turned 90 years old in July and gave a lovely speech at her 90th birthday party.
Arla leaves behind her Children: Sharon (Vince) Andrade, Dale (Joyce) Greene, Linda (Heinz) Autenried, Cathy (Leonard) Madden, Sandy (Johnny) Jones and Tim (Lori) Greene. She also leaves behind 33 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. She was preceded in passing by her Husband: Harold Greene and Grandson: David Seagraves.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A Service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10:00 am also at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brian Greene, Jason Greene, Christopher Rochelle, Jonathan Andrade, Jonathan Lee Jones, Gabriel Goodman, Dustin Greene, and Justin Greene.
