ATHENS-Wednesday, December 2 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident near Athens that has taken the life of one person:
“A one-vehicle crash at 12:49 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, has claimed the life of an Ardmore, Tennessee man.
Edgar David Hardiman, 93, was fatally injured when the 1998 Ford F-150 he was operating ran off the right side of the roadway, ran through a fence, and struck a tree. Hardiman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 251 near Sharp Road at the 251 mile-marker, approximately seven miles north of Athens. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
