Ardith Lee Jacklin Bryan, a beacon of love and creativity, left this world on January 10, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on April 28, 1938, in Moscow, Idaho, she was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ardith’s final days were spent surrounded by love at the Hospice Family Care Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Ardith’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her passion for preserving their history. She was born to Arden Wayne Jacklin and Velma Lena Hutchings Jacklin and grew up alongside her brothers, Duane, Don, and Doyle Jacklin. Ardith’s life was shared with her beloved husband, Leland “Lee” Bryan, and together they built a legacy of love and family. While her journey on earth has concluded, her spirit is carried on through her devoted son, Mike (Christine) Bryan; her loving daughter, Kelli (Jeff) Jordan; her adoring grandchildren, Timothy (Madeline) Jordan, Garrett Bryan, and Kristina Bryan; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Bryan and Gage Bryan. Ardith was preceded in death by her son, Kyle Bryan; her parents; and her brother, Duane Jacklin.
Ardith’s professional life was characterized by her role as a secretary in the medical industry where her meticulous nature and warm presence were valued by all who worked with her. She brought the same level of dedication and care to her work as she did to every aspect of her life.
Her zest for life extended beyond her work and into her hobbies. Ardith was an esteemed member of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America. She not only served as the past president but also held many other positions within the organization. Her needlework was a testament to her artistic talent and her ability to create beauty in the threads she wove.
Ardith’s passion for genealogy was another facet of her multifaceted life. She spent countless hours researching family history, tracing lineage, and preserving the stories of her ancestors. Her work in this field was not just a pastime but a gift to future generations, ensuring that the roots and connections of her family tree would be known and celebrated.
Those who knew Ardith will remember her as a loving and creative soul. Her kindness radiated from her, touching the lives of those around her. She had a unique ability to make people feel valued and loved, a trait that endeared her to many.

Ardith’s life will be honored on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Hampton Cove Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jasson Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cove Memorial Gardens.
