Archie Lee Scott, 86, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Waterloo, AL. He was born in Vina, AL to Archie Doc and Rosie Barnes Scott. He had worked at Monsanto and Mueller Copper Tubing as a machinist. He was a member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 8, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Dallas Culver and Jarod Massey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 12-2 at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by three children, Cynthia Lee Ezzell (Donnie), Lisha Morrow and Thomas Wren Scott (Amee); grandchildren, Mitch Davis, Bart Davis, Kelli Thrasher (Brendan), Drew Davis, Ashley Morrow (Skip Nichols), Tyler Scott Morrow (Brooke), Shelby Helena Smith (Mark) and Nathan Thomas Scott (Mallory); great-grandchildren, Jade, Kelsey, Dylan, Brycen, Kruze, Kooper, Harper and Henry; his twin sister, Virgina Rea Palmer; sister, Patricia Lindsey and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Faye Wren Scott; his parents; daughter, Angie Scott Phifer and a grandchild, Gracie Davis.
Pallbearers will be Bart Davis, Drew Davis, Mitch Davis, Nathan Scott, Dewayne Palmer and Ricky Garrison.
