Annie Ruth Peach, age 96, a resident of the Theta Community, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Lakeshore Meadows in Nashville just one week prior to her 97th birthday.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Dick Peach officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 26, 1920 in Columbia, Ruth was the daughter of the late David Dodson and the late Cora Veach Dodson. She was a member of Theta Church of Christ. Earlier in life, Ruth enjoyed volunteering as a Grey Lady at the VA Hospital and was a member of the Home Demonstration Club. Ruth also loved dancing. She was a very special mother who was dedicated to her family and loved her friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her children: Sam (Jinnie) Peach of Murfreesboro, Dick (Cecilia) Peach of Smyrna, Michael (Marilyn) Peach of Columbia, Richard (Tracy) Peach of Columbia, Janice Kelley of Fairview, Darlene Corbitt of Nashville; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special neighbor: Carlene Harbison Hatcher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband R.O. “Bully” Peach former Maury County Road Superintendant.
Pallbearers will be: Bruce Kelley, Blake Kelley, Jeff Peach, Todd Peach, Stephen Peach, and Phillip Walker.
