Annie Phene Lollar – Obituary

Annie Phene Lollar, 94, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. A lifelong resident of Mooreville, Ann was born December 15, 1924, to Elisha “E.L.” and Nancy Brown Burcham in Lee County. She married W.B. “Bryan” Lollar and they shared sixty-six years together before his death in 2010. Ann retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing where she worked as a seamstress for a number of years. She loved growing vegetables and tending to her vegetable garden.  She also enjoyed sewing, baking desserts and canning vegetables. Ann’s greatest love of all was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her nurturing spirit and affectionate smile will be greatly missed. She attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Robbie Lollar and his wife, Charlotte of Mooreville; two grandsons, Christopher Lollar and his wife, Lindsey of Mooreville and Brandon Lollar and his wife, Jennifer of Mooreville; four great-grandchildren, Riley, Olivia and Madeline Lollar of Mooreville and Gabe Lollar of Mooreville; and sister, Aileen Hauger of San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. “Bryan” Lollar; infant daughter, Nancy Runae Lollar; parents, E.L. and Nancy Burcham; four brothers, Aurther Burcham, Archie Burcham, Fletcher Burcham and Douglas Burcham; three sisters, Louella Christian, Ruby Burcham and Ruthie Mae Mulhern; and two infant siblings.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Bobby Howell officiating. Graveside services will follow in Eggville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Lollar, Brandon Lollar, Harold Christian, Gerald Christian, Mike Hammock, Earl Hammock, Austin Hammock and Wade Hammock.

The service will be live streamed and recorded for those who may not be able to attend at www.peguesfuneralhome.com.
