Annie Marie Morris Smith, age 91 of Estill Springs, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at The Waters of Winchester. A native of Franklin County, Annie Marie was born on September 14, 1929, to the late Charlie and Lora (Gibson) Morris and grew up on the family farm. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a cook at Rock Creek Elementary, Decherd Elementary, and Golden Living Assisted Living. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. But most of all, she cherished the time she spent taking care of her beloved family. Annie Marie was a member of First Baptist Church of Estill Springs where she had taught Sunday School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Smith; sons, Wayne Smith and Wade Smith; and seven siblings. Annie Marie is survived by her loving grandchildren, Susan Scott, Timothy (Jamison) Smith, and Henry Smith; great-grandchildren, Laura Scott, Taylor Smith, Whitley Smith and Sydney Smith; and sister, Bessie Rogers. Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
