Annie Mai Hartley, age 85, resident of Lyles, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Life Care of Centerville.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 12:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Johnson Holler Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the 12:00pm service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Annie was born February 26, 1937, in Williamson County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Thomas Martin Johnson, Sr. and the late Annie Belle House Johnson. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gospel music. Some of her hobbies included going to yard sales and junk stores. Annie also enjoyed cooking and loved roses. Most of all she treasured time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Annie is survived by her children, Jimmy (Jackie) Hartley of Rainsville, AL, Donald (Wendy) Hartley of Lyles, TN, Kaye (Thomas) Rainey of Bon Aqua, TN, Cathy (Gene) Hartley of Hurricane Mills, TN, and Sherry (Chad) Ashley of Chapel Hill, TN; siblings, Larry (Pam) Tomlin of Franklin, TN, Judy (Glenn) Tomlin of Smyrna, TN, Nancy (Tommy) Coke of Franklin, TN, Kevin (Amy) Gurley of Rainsville, AL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Eulene Johnson.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hartley; daughter, Wanda Faye Barnes; sons, James, William, and Terry Hartley; stepson, David “Randy” Johsnon; grandson, Shane Hartley; sisters, Katie Gurley, Louise Foster, Barbara Faye, Mary Alice, and Dorothy Lee Johnson; and brothers, Thomas, Thomas M. Jr., Roy Hughe Johnson.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and her granddaughters will serve as flower girls. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Ashley, Gene Pruitt, and Thomas Rainey.
