Annie Lou Ridgeway age 89 of Athens, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Ridgeway was born October 7, 1924 to Lucious York and Annie Pearl Robertson York.
Services will be Tuesday, April 8, 2014 11:30 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jesse Littrell and Chris Pirtle officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Evans Cemetery.
Mrs. Ridgeway was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Lou Haraway; two brothers, Marshall and Nelson York.
Survived by her daughters, Jackie Sims and Patricia Ezell and husband, Dwight; sisters, Louise Hurn and Dean Williams; half sister, Carolyn Rose; half brothers, Wayne and Dale Ridgeway; 10 grandchildren, Trace Sims, Myra Moss, Chris Haraway, Gina Gentry, Lucinda Sims, Chuck Ezell, Clarissa Glanton, Tiffany Ezell, Shannon Haraway, Jeremy Haraway; 17 great-grandchildren and great-great- twin grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Trace Sims, Chris Haraway, Chuck Ezell, Shannon Haraway, Jeremy Haraway, Austin Sims and Jacob Ezell.
Her sweet soul and humble spirit is now at rest.
