Annie Lorraine Roten was born May 3, 1921 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Leslie and Verda Rinks Dickey. Mrs. Roten departed this life on February 24, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 9 Months, 21 Days.
She was united in marriage to Howard Roten. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1996.
Mrs. Roten was a longtime member of Clear Creek Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and church worker. She enjoyed quilting and canning vegetables for her family. She had worked as a Nurse’s Aide and Xray Technician at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and Baptist Hospital during the years she lived in Memphis.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Chapman and husband Bill of Big Sandy, TN; two sons, Neal Roten and wife Judy of Brownsville, TN, Jerry Roten and wife Deby of Alamagorda, NM; 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Roten was preceded in death by two brothers, R. B. Dickey, James Grady Dickey; two sisters, Zelphia Davis, Mavoreen Helton.
