Annie Lee Sparks, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away peacefully at Major Hospital on November 27, 2020. Born November 12, 1941 in Lawrence County, Alabama to Reno and Lassie (Crowe) Tucker, she married Rayburn F. Sparks on May 30, 1960 and he survives.
Survivors include husband Rayburn F. Sparks of Shelbyville; son Rev. Scott (Sally) Sparks of Sevierville, Tennessee; brother A.Z. (Elizabeth) Tucker of Moulton, Alabama, sister Wilma (Rev. Ray) Gray of Moulton, Alabama; grandchildren Grant Sparks of Shelbyville, and Jordan (Heather) Sparks of Shelbyville, great grandchildren Cameron Sparks, Kennedy Sparks, Dawson Sparks, Dallas Sparks.
Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from Lawrence County High School in Alabama, where she had worked in data processing for Monsanto,.
Annie had been a resident of Shelby County for 16 years after moving from Alabama. She was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church of Shelbyville, She was baptized and received the Holy Ghost in 1956.
Services will be held at the Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 1500 Miller Ave, Shelbyville, Indiana on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 7pm, with visitation from 5pm until the time of service. Rev. Robert Cavaness and Rev. Daniel McDonald will be officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Gardens, 3740 Co. Rd 434, Moulton Alabama. There will also be a visitation and service at the Pentecostal Tabernacle 3612 Spring Ave. Decatur, Alabama on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 11am-1pmtime of service. Burial will immediately follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Apostolic Tabernacle in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at glennegeorgeandson.com.
