Annie Grace Disch, 100, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Tishomingo Manor, Iuka, MS. She made her goal of living to be 100 years old. She was born November 24, 1923 near Hackleburg, AL and grew up in Red Bay, AL. After leaving Red Bay, she lived in Waukegan, IL, Eagle River, WI, Decatur, AL, Birmingham, AL and Huntsville, AL. She owned and operated Red Bay Café in the fifties and The Rebel Restaurant in the sixties and was head cook at Obies in Waukegan, IL.
Services will be Saturday, July 6, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Scot George officiating. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery, Hazel Green, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Keeton (Peggy) and Lonnie Joe Evans; grandchildren, Amanda Brazelton (Mark) and Karen Letson (Gwyn) and great-grandchildren, Noah (Kyleigh), Carson and Braxton.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Monroe Keeton and Lonnie Evans, both of Red Bay and Walter Disch of Waukegan, Il and Eagle River, WI and her brothers and sisters, Lizzie Crawley, Johnny Gann, Melvin Gann, Clem Bolding, Alice Ayers, Clara George, Albert Gann and Cohens (Coin) Gann.
Her family will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 10-11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
