Annie Elise Hyatt Durham Jones, 84, died on March 4, 2020, at Meadowbrook AHC, Pulaski after an extended illness.
She was a native of Pulaski, having lived for many years in the Pigeon Roost community. She had been the bookkeeper at Hyatt Paving for many years and was a homemaker. She was a 1954 graduate of Giles County High School, where she finished near the top of her class. She loved quilting, cooking for crowds and above all, her family and her faith in God. She was a member of the Church of Christ, most recently at College Place Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Pearl Colvett Hyatt and William Pink Hyatt, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey Hyatt, Howard Hyatt and Wayne Hyatt. Also her first husband, William Morris Durham, one son, Denton Lane “Denny” Durham and her second husband, William James Jones.

Survivors are: son, Morris Lee Durham and wife Kathy of the Bodenham community, brother, Barry Hyatt and wife Regina of the Bodenham community, she is also survived by a step daughter, Brenda Adams of Pulaski, and a step son, Bill Jones of Georgia, 2 grandchildren, Jessica Chapman (Brandon), Daniel Durham (Amee) and 4 great grandchildren, three nephews and four nieces. She is also survived by many members of the Colvett family of Elkmont, AL. and the Hyatt family of both North and South Carolina.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with the burial to follow in Choates Creek Cemetery.
