Annette Snider DuBose, age 79 of Jackson, passed away on April 21, 2022 in Jackson.
Annette was born on February 26, 1943 in Gleason, TN to the late Clarence Robert Snider and Ednay Geneva Buckingham Snider. Due to her mother’s death while Annette was still very young, she was cared for by her sisters, before being raised by her sister, Elizabeth Cornatzer Murley and husband, Robert Cornatzer. The family moved to Bemis when she was eight years old. She was a graduate of South Side High School in the class of 1961. She later attended Cosmetology school and became a cosmetologist working at the Shamrock Beauty Salon and the Pink Lady Beauty Salon in downtown Jackson. She and her husband, Tom, lived in Bemis for 37 years.
Annette was very strong in her Christian faith and was a member of Malesus Baptist Church in Jackson. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who made everyone around her feel loved and special. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Edwina Snider Hilliard, Mary Elizabeth Snider Cornatzer Murley, Luneate Snider Mullis, Robert Porter Snider, and Ronnie Glen Snider.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. “Tom” DuBose; son, Eric Wayne DuBose (Amanda); daughter, Kellly Elaine DuBose Davis (Jeffery); granddaughter, Melanie Davis; brother, Jerry Neal Snider; and special niece and nephew, Robert Hilliard and Thelma King.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Bobby Bray officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
