Funeral service for Annette Marie Alexander, age 84, of Cullman, will be Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Valley Springs Baptist Church, with Bro. Jeremie Clark and Pastor Tim Box officiating. Mrs. Alexander will lie in state at the church from 2-3 p.m. and interment will be at Valley Springs Cemetery.

Marie was born January 30, 1940, to Carl Abbott and Ruby Busby Abbott. She passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Athel Alexander; brothers, Earnest Abbott, Baby Brother Abbott, Michael Gene Abbott, Danny Abbott; sisters, Eloise Bailey, Oleta Clark; son-in-law, Gene Norman.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Alexander, Karen Norman, Kallen Hulsey (David), Kraig Alexander (Debbie); brothers, Buddy Abbott, Anthony Abbott (Doris), Maxine Graves, Geneva Sellers (John), Carol Payne (Paul); grandchildren, Timothy Jackson, Dustin Jackson (Crystal), Stefan Hulsey (Elena), Tristan Hulsey (Mackenzie), Madison Norman, and Sam Norman; great-grandchildren, Aleiah Bullard, Ryver Jackson, Adleigh Hulsey; and a host of family and friends.
Marie loved being with her family, going to church, sewing, painting pictures, gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and living life on the farm. She was a supervisor at Cullman Lingerie Sewing Factory and grew chickens for Gold Kist then Pilgrim’s Pride for over 35 years. She had an incredible passion for giving and helping others.
