Annette Davis ReyerAnnette Davis Reyer, 85, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her home.

Having lived in the Ardmore community her entire life, she was a member at First Baptist Church of Ardmore. During her teaching, she received her Master’s Degree and went on to teach for more than 20 years. Afterwards, she would go on to become a board member of the Friends of the Ardmore Public Library. She was active with Vacation Bible School, volunteered as a tutor at Cedar Hill Elementary School and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cake decorating, and traveling.

Mrs. Reyer is preceded in death by her parents, Archie W. Davis and Bessie Esterlee Eaves Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Sam Reyer, three daughters: Becky (Bill) Smith, Emily (Heath) Emerson, and Amy (Andy) Donaldson, one brother, Frank (Betty) Davis, two sisters, Loretta Carter and Ellen (George) Clem-Johnson, seven grandchildren: Jarrod (Nakita) Smith, Ashton (Jacob) Scott, Hannah (Jeremy) Denton, Savannah (Carson) Kennedy, Andrew Donaldson, Davis Donaldson, and Michael Donaldson, four great grandchildren: Cayden Smith, Mazie Kate Smith, Atticus Scott, and Ivy Scott, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be a Visitation held for Mrs. Reyer at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon. A Chapel Service is scheduled immediately after visitation to begin at 12:00 noon. Bro. Billy Taylor, Bro. Steve Hargrove, and Ricky Shannon will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Elkmont, Alabama.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
