Anne Lindsey Baker Anne Lindsey Baker, retired Office Administrator for Maury County Water System and resident of Leoma, died Friday, June 9, 2023 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems.

 

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Ricky Cotton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.

 

The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 6060. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

 

Born in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert H. Lindsey and the late Beulah Bibb Lindsey. She married Robert L. Baker who preceded her in death November 27, 1976. Mrs. Baker was a 1955 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She enjoyed needlepointing, sewing, and working puzzles. Mrs. Baker was a past member of Columbia Women’s Bowling Association and member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Bethany Anne (Ricky) Sewell of Leoma; granddaughter, Lindsey Michelle Sewell of Leoma; step-children, Sherry Carroll, Brenda Westmoreland, Bryan Baker; step-grandchildren, Stephanie (David) Frye, Payton Allen, Keely Allen; step great grandchildren, Madison Frye, Noah Frye; and sister-in-law, Lois Lindsey.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Lynn Goodwin in 2007; sister, Elizabeth Temes; brothers, James Lindsey, Frank Lindsey, Roy Lindsey; and step-son, Rusty Baker.

 

Active pallbearers will be Jacob Gabel, David Frye, David Temes, Butch Temes, Mark Stinnett and Vernon Cook.
